Bars are awesome but don't miss out on the 2nd level bar. It doesn't get much attention but the musicians and bartenders are amazing. We will definitely go back for good old school country music and great service!!

Our group of my work colleagues ventured to Broadway for a fun night in the city. Our first and best stop was AJ'S Good Time Bar for a line dancing lesson. I'm not a practiced dancer by any stretch, but I had a blast. Our instructor Lauren was especially awesome! She was upbeat and made the whole thing fun and accessible for all of us. Because Lauren is a great dancer AND patient, I got at least a couple cycles where I really felt like I knew what I was doing. (Brave enough to try it on my own out on the town? At least a solid maybe!) I'd fully recommend the activity for any group looking for a good time, and if Lauren is your coach, you'll come out dancing better than you went in, that's for sure.

Also, the band playing downstairs was good and getting the crowd into it. Decided to breeze through AJ's with my wife the next night, and it was another good band and another engaged crowd. Old school honky tonk vibe that seems to be an authentic and reliable place to understand what a Broadway joint should be. Might have another beer there tonight!

We ducked into AJ’s Good Time Bar on a rainy Monday afternoon just to get out of the rain, and it ended up being the perfect stop. The beer was ice cold, and the music was great. If you love old-school country, you’ll feel right at home—they play everything from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s.
We’ve been here several times, and one thing that’s always consistent is the live music. The bands are always good, and it’s just a fun place to hang out. It’s not a huge bar, so it can feel a little crowded, but there’s still a dance floor if you’re in the mood to two-step.
If you’re looking for cold beer, great country music, and a laid-back Nashville honky-tonk, I’d definitely recommend stopping by.
